Growing up on the South Side of Chicago it didn’t take me long to realize that I had goals and aspirations bigger than what I saw outside my window. I’ve always been a dreamer and what some would consider a go-getter. So even though I didn’t earn my degrees until later in life, it didn’t take me long to climb the corporate ladder. But even with all the applause I felt like something was missing. I didn’t have the creative control that brought the fulfillment I was seeking.
I’m a creative at heart so I knew unless I founded a company, I was not going to have the freedom or autonomy to create and curate like I wanted to which is why I created The Small Business Incubator. This is my baby, and she allows me to walk in my God-given purpose which is to pour into Black Women Entrepreneurs.
My hope is to serve you by cultivating the gift that God has put on the inside of you so that you not only become a purpose seeker, but you walk in alignment, make the strongest impact, and position yourself as an authority in the marketplace.
I don’t believe you have to be big to be excellent or achieve your goal of entrepreneurship, but I’m not naïve either. I am fully aware as a Black Woman Entrepreneur that most Black entrepreneurs lack the know-how and resources to efficiently operate a business. I always say that “you don’t know what you don’t know,” so, we bring the years of business experience, insight, strategy, and technical skills right to you through our programs.
